Pamela is a widow who lives in Nairobi, Kenya in the slum of Kibera. Her husband died of AIDS, and Pamela is also infected with the disease. She has two teenage sons that she supports by making beaded jewelry and purses from recycled materials. Life in Kibera is difficult due to unemployment, overcrowding, and lack of indoor plumbing, but Pamela relies on God to provide for her.
